Starting a sound creation journal|For sounds that make you want to listen to them again

y’s Studio, we have been exposed to various voices and sounds through MIX of songs and music production. Here, I will try to explain the ideas that are important in the field as clearly as possible.

Our goal is not just to be flashy, but to create a sound that makes you want to play it again.

What this JOURNAL covers

  • Recording and mixing to bring vocals forward naturally

  • How to adjust the treble to make it brighter but not sting your ears

  • Selection of equipment such as microphones, headphones, audio interfaces, etc.

  • The role of plugins and how to avoid overusing them

  • How to solve problems that commonly occur in DTM such as noise, sound cracking, and delay

Judgment criteria: “Do I want to listen to it again?”

Being correct in numbers and being pleasant to listen to are not necessarily the same thing. Waveforms and meters are important, but the final judge is your ears. You can see the outline even at low volumes, it doesn't hurt even when you turn it up high, and you don't get tired even when you listen to it for a long time. Let's consider the balance one by one.

When introducing products or services in articles, we will separate the information that has actually been confirmed from the official information, and if it contains advertisements or affiliates, it will be clearly displayed. Prices and specifications are subject to change, so be sure to check the latest information from the vendor before purchasing.

We don't just list technical terms, we deliver them in a form that you can try in your production today.
